York West Active Living Centre (YWALC) is a community based resource centre for persons 55 years of age and older. YWALC has been serving the Weston community for over 33 years.

Our vision is to promote, encourage and support healthy, independent living.

YWALC understands the importance of an active, healthy lifestyle and therefore we strive to maintain a wide range of leisure, fitness, educational, health and wellness and recreation that work for you.  Our membership and activities reflect the diverse population of our community and we enthusiastically accept the challenge of bringing forward new and exciting programs to meet the needs of all our members

Our Centre is a member based organization with leadership provided by a Board of Directors, all of whom are volunteers. The Centre employs qualified program instructors and other support staff.  Thanks to the high level of volunteer involvement, YWALC is able to accomplish its aims.

Food Programs

Our kitchen offers daily nutritious and delicious lunches.  Soups, hot entrées, desserts, coffee or tea make this truly a “full meal deal”.
Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm
Monday and Wednesday are called Full Lunch program
Tuesday and Thursday are called light lunch program
Fridays is called Soup Fridays
